INTRODUCTION INTRODUCTION This product allows a user to view and analyze multiple Humboldt River basin and vicinity data sets. Geologic, geochemical (stream sediment and soil, in addition to water-quality samples), and cartographic base data sets are provided that permit these diverse data to be viewed, and queried in a geographic context. Data presented here were compiled and or produced as part of an Humboldt River basin environmental assessment conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey between 1995 and 2000. This product contains Portable Document Format (.pdf) files, which require Adobe Acrobat for viewing. Acrobat software runs on a variety of systems, and is available for download free of charge from Adobe at http://www.adobe.com. II.
