Directories

Directory HTMLDOCS: Contains the necessary HTML files and supporting graphics to allow the user access to the CD-ROM via any World Wide Web (WWW) browser. 

Directory IMAGES: Contains PDF, GIF and JPEG images that are used by HTML hyperlinks. 

Directory REPORTS : Contains the PDF files of the three USGS Open-File reports. 

Directory DATA: Contains the ArcView project file and the two associated legend (.avl) files, as well as the following subdirectories:


                   Subdirectory ATLANTIC: Contains the project file, Atlantic.aep, for use with
                   ArcExplorer.  In addition, the files Atlantic.shp, Atlantic.shx and Atlantic.dbf
                   are provided for use with ArcExplorer and ArcView. An export file, Atlantic.e00, is
                    provided for import into ArcInfo. 


                   Subdirectory GULF: Contains the project file, Gulf.aep, for use with 
                   ArcExplorer. In addition, the files Gulf.shp, Gulf.shx and Gulf.dbf are provided for use 
                   with ArcExplorer and ArcView. An export file, Gulf.e00, is provided for import into 
                   ArcInfo. 


                   Subdirectory PACIFIC: Contains the project file, Pacific.aep, for use with
                   ArcExplorer.  In addition, the files Pacific.shp, Pacific.shx and Pacific.dbf are 
                   provided for use with ArcExplorer and ArcView. An export file, Pacific.e00, is 
                   provided for  import into ArcInfo. 

Html Files

Index.htm: Page serves as an introduction to the CD-ROM.

Readme.htm:  Page includes information on accessing all the features of this CD-ROM, as well as including some background information on the project.

Data.htm: Page describes how to access the GIS data files, Arc View project files, Arc Explorer project files, export (.e00) files and metadata.

Disclaim.htm: Page expresses the U.S. Geological Survey policy on release of information on this CD-ROM.

OFreport.htm: Page provides links to the previously published Open-File reports included on the CD-ROM..

Project.htm: Page includes an introductory description of the coastal vulnerability project. A complete description is included in the previously published Open-File reports included on this CD-ROM.
