                 There is one record (line) for each of 48 stations.

              The file is sorted on station number (columns 1-8).

Columns  Format  Contents

   1      A1     Indicator of relocation to a different river ('*' indicates
                    that the station was moved to another river; a blank
                    indicates that the site was moved to another location
                    on the same river).
  2-9     I8     Station number - the 8 digit station number uniquely
                    identifying the water-quality station.
  10      1X     Blank.
 11-58    A48    Station name - the 48 character name of the station.
  59      1X     Blank.
 60-67    A8     Beginning date of network station (YYYYMMDD).
  68      1X     Blank.
 69-76    A8     Ending date of network station.
  77      1X     Blank.
 78-85    I8     The new relocated station number.
  86      1X     Blank.
 87-134   A48    The relocated station name.
  135     1X     Blank.
136-143   A8     Beginning date of network station.
  144     1X     Blank.
145-152   A8     Ending date of network station (A blank indicates that the
                    station is now part of the current 1996 network design).


Format descriptions:

   In    an integer field n columns wide.
   F8.x  a real (float) field 8 columns wide with x decimal places to the right
            of the decimal point.
   An    a character field n columns wide.
   1X    a single blank column.
