Stage to begin survey on Feb 18. No photographs collected. February 18, 2016 - Flight day 1: Excellent aerial photography weather at start point Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Ceiling and visibility were unlimited. Moderate to heavy turbulence at times with high gusting winds in excess of 30 knots from the northeast tended to push us onshore. Crab angle can be noticed in some images easterly heading such as the Capes. Collected 3318 images; 67.07 GB of data. February 19, 2016 - Flight day 2: Excellent aerial photography weather from Manteo, North Carolina to Chincoteague Island, Virginia. Ceiling and visibility unlimited until Cape Charles, Virginia, where high thin overcast took over for remainder of trip. Collected 2162 images; 46.48 GB of data. Notes: ¥ Nikon D810 DSLR Camera Body ¥ ISO: 100 for parallel to coast, Auto sensitivity control during profiles ¥ Interval timer shooting: one picture every 3 seconds. ¥ Nikkor 35 millimeter, 1.8 lens - standard lens for coastline images ¥ Focus: Infinity.
