Bottom sediment data from the continental shelf of Washington -- Grays Harbor to Cape Flattery
Abstract:
This report contains data from the granulometric analysis of bottom sediments from the continental shelf of Washington. The sediment samples were obtained on RV Oceaneer cruises in 1966 and 1967. Samples analyzed from Oceanner Cruise 5 were taken from laminations in vibratory cores. Multiple grab samples were taken from stations in Oceaneer Cruise 10 and Cruise 14. The analyses of approximately 618 samples are presented in this report.

    Date: Unknown (process 1 of 1)
    The samples were analyzed by the standard sieve and pipette method in the Oceanography Routine Sediment Laboratory at the University of Washington. Mr. Alan T. Ostenson and Mr. Thomas Andrus performed the analyses. The data were reduced by the computer program of Creager, McManus, and Collias (1962) and Collias et al., (1963). Miss Leilonie Gillespie was responsible for the data summary program. For usSEABED, data from Technical Report 57, Special Report 39, and Special Report 40 were concatenated together to reduce data overlaps and present data from the same samples together.
