ArcGIS Project Read-Me The map documents and shapefiles used to create the trackline maps provided on this disc can be found in the arc.zip file located in the ARC subfolder of the SOFTWARE folder located at the top level of the disc. The map documents were created using Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) ArcGIS 8.3 software. The shapefiles provided may also be viewed using other versions of ArcView, ArcGIS, or public domain software ArcExplorer (http://www.esri.com/software/arcexplorer/index.html). The map documents are named all.mxd, area_a, area_b, area_c, area_d, area_e, area_f, area_g, and area_h. These maps show trackline navigation in the survey area. Inset maps also show start of lines, 500-shot-interval locations along each line, and the location of navigation errors. The list below describes the shapefiles provided with the ArcGIS project. Formal metadata are available as HTML documents (viewable with any web browser) and XML documents (used by ArcCatalog). 1_19_500: a point layer of 500-shot-interval locations for 04SGI01 lines 04b01-04b19 1_19_sol: a point layer of the start of 04SGI01 tracklines 04b01-04b19 1_19_trkln: a line layer of 04SGI01 04b01-04b19 trackline navigation 20_31_500: a point layer of 500-shot-interval locations for 04SGI01 lines 04b20a-04b31 20_31_sol: a point layer of the start of 04SGI01 tracklines 04b20a-04b31 20_31_trkln: a line layer of 04SGI01 04b20a-04b31 trackline navigation hydro100_line: a line layer of Southwest Florida Water Management District hydrography hydro100_poly: a polygon layer of Southwest Florida Water Management District hydrography us_cities: a point layer of U.S. cities us_hwys: a line layer of U.S. highways
