GEOTIFF images of video mosaics generated from 2006 lake floor
video collected to ground-truth an interpreted map showing the
distribution of a submerged bryophyte mat in Crater Lake, OR.
These data are intended for science researchers,
students, policy makers, and the general public.
The image can be used with geographic information systems (GIS)
or other software to display a submerged bryophyte
mat in Crater Lake, OR.

GEOTIFF images are generated from 2006 lake floor video using
software developed by Yuri Rzhanov, University of New Hampshire
(YuriSoft). Video is captured from videotape using standard video
editing software and converted to AVI format. YuriSoft sub-frames
the video capturing every 10 -20 frame depending on user needs. The
software then matches one frame to the next based on pattern
recognition resulting in a video strip or mosaic. The resulting mosaic
is then co-registered using GIS software and DGPS coordinates
recorded at the time of the video collection.
