ERDAS Imagine format data of the distribution of a submerged
bryophyte mat in Crater Lake, OR
</abstract>
<purpose>
These data are intended for science researchers,
students, policy makers, and the general public.
The data can be used with geographic information systems (GIS)
or other software to display the distribution of a submerged bryophyte
mat in Crater Lake, OR.

The moss distribution model is based on 2000 multibeam bathmetry and acoustic backscatter data as well as 23 line kilometers of lake floor
video collected in 2006. To map the bryophyte's distribution, depth range, acoustic backscatter intensity, and derived bathymetric index grids are used as inputs into a hierarchical decision-tree classification model. Observations of the presence or absence the bryophyte mat from the lake floor video were used as controls for the model. The final map was converted into ERDAS Imagine (.img) and geoTIFF (.tif) formats.
