Temperature data from wells in Long Valley Caldera, California

Database includes water temperature and depth information from 80 wells across the Long Valley Caldera. For many wells, there is only one temperature record, measured by the driller shortly after the initial drilling of the well in the 1970s to 1980s. For some wells, there are multiple datasets from repeated measurement campaigns by the USGS.

Revised and reposted January 15, 2015, version 2.0

The revised database includes data collected since 2010 and data from two sites not included in version 1.0: 35-28 and HSL. Time-series plots of data were added for wells at which there have been many repeat measurements over time. Redundant .csv files were removed, and only the .xls file for each well is provided. Well locations were updated with improved GPS measurements. Laura Clor and Fred Murphy were added as coauthors. References were updated.
