Smith,1 and Xan Fredericks2 1U.S. Geological Survey; 2Cherokee Nation Technology Solutions, St. Petersburg, FL This Data Series contains lidar-derived bare-earth (BE) topography, dune elevations, and mean-high-water shoreline position datasets for most sandy beaches for Fire Island, New York, and from Cape Henlopen, Delaware to Cape Lookout, North Carolina. The data were acquired post-Hurricane Sandy, which made landfall as an extratropical cyclone on October 29, 2012. Shapefile of Tile Extents The post-Hurricane Sandy lidar and feature data can also be viewed and queried through a standard Web-browser via an interactive map viewer (http://olga.er.usgs.gov/Sandy). For integration with other geographic information system (GIS) data layers, Web map services (WMS) can be accessed via the interactive map.
