| Computer simulation of tidal current speed in Massachusetts and Cape Cod Bays. Tidal currents are strongest at the mouth of Boston Harbor and in the channel north of Cape Cod. Numerical models aid in the interpretation of field observations, provide more complete spatial coverage than possible from direct measurements, and will form the basis of regional water quality and sediment transport models, allowing different management scenarios to be tested. |
