This publication is a compilation of descriptive geophysical models for 17 mineral deposit types. The models follow the classification scheme presented in "Mineral Deposit Models" (USGS Bulletin 1693, Cox and Singer, editors, 1986). This paper is divided into two parts: (1) an introductory section that includes a discussion of various geophysical methods and an extensive summary of the physical properties of host and cover rocks and (2) the geophysical models, each of which includes a summary of the mineral deposit geologic setting, the geophysical expression of the regional environment, a geophysical definition of the deposit, a physical property table for the deposit, and extensive reference lists.
