                      Structure of the DOSMENU directory

         This directory (\DOSMENU) contains the support files that allow
      GSMENU (a general purpose menu program) and GSSEARCH (a search
      program used on this CD-ROM) to run.  These files are:

         HCDN.BAT - The main batch file which runs the GSMENU
            program.  This file is copied to hard disk and modified
            by the INSTALL program.

         HCDN.CFG - This file specifies the input files for GSSEARCH,
            the structure of the index files, and the format of the
            lines to be displayed by GSSEARCH in its browse mode.
            See the file \DOCFILES\CUSTOMIZ.DOC for information on
            tailoring portions of this file.

         HCDN.GBG - This is the index file used for searching the
            data base.  This is a binary file.

         HCDN.HLP - This file contains the help information on data
            fields for GSSEARCH.  This is not an ASCII file;
            attempting to edit it will likely render it useless.  The
            contents of this file are accessed through the F1 key
            inside GSSEARCH.

         HCDN.LV1 - This file contains pointers to the contents of
            HCDN.GBG.  This is a binary file.

         HCDN.LV2 - This file contains pointers to the contents of
            HCDN.GBG.  This is a binary file.

         HCDN.LV3 - This file contains pointers to the contents of
            HCDN.GBG.  This is a binary file.

         HCDN.LV4 - This file contains pointers to the contents of
            HCDN.GBG.  This is a binary file.

         HCDN.MNU - This file specifies the menu and its functioning
            in the initial invocation of GSMENU by HCDN.BAT.  It
            provides for running the programs GSSEARCH, COPYFLOWS,
            and HCDR and for running GSMENU itself for viewing the
            documentation.  This file is copied to hard disk and
            modified by the INSTALL program.  See the file
            \DOCFILES\CUSTOMIZ.DOC for information on tailoring this
            file.

         HCDN.MU2 - This file specifies the menu and its functioning
            in the invocation of GSMENU by HCDN.MNU.  It provdies for
            viewing the documentation.  This file is copied to hard
            disk and modified by the INSTALL program.  See the file
            \DOCFILES\CUSTOMIZ.DOC for information on tailoring this
            file.

         HCDN.YRS - This file allows GSSEARCH to find contiguous
            blocks of data.  This is a binary file.

         This directory also contains a sub-directory
      (\DOSMENU\SOFTWARE) which contains the executable code for the
      program used with this CD-ROM.
