Codicil to the
Geophysical Expression of
Selected Mineral Deposit Models

W.D. Heran, Editor

U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 94-0174

This publication is a compilation of descriptive geophysical models for
seven mineral deposit types. It is an extension of an earlier publication,
"The Geophysical Expression of Selected Mineral Deposit Models" (USGS
Open-File Report 92-0557, D. Hoover, W.D. Heran, and P. Hill, editors, 1992).
The models follow the classification scheme presented in "Mineral Deposit Models"
(USGS Bulletin 1693, D. Cox and D. Singer, editors, 1986). In this paper each of
the geophysical models includes a summary of the mineral deposit geologic setting,
the geophysical expression of the regional environment, a geophysical definition of
the deposit, a physical property table for the deposit, and extensive reference lists.
