The Lake Ponchartrain Basin Foundation was founded in 1989. The Foundation's slogan "SAVE OUR LAKE" appears on over 100,000 bumper stickers in the New Orleans area. The goal of the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation is the restoration and preservation of the Lake Pontchartrain ecosystem.
