ArcView 3.2 shape files.  There are six (or three)  files
                                      for every ArcView theme:
 

.shp	the file that stores feature geometry.
.shx	the file that stores the index of  feature geometry.
.dbf	the dBASE file that stores attribute information of features.
.sbn and  .sbx,	the files that store spatial index of the features.
.prj	the files that store projection information

                                    There are following shape files in /shape directory:
 

/shape/arc_geos.shp	Geologic polygon features
/shape/bath_str.shp	Bathymetric contours
/shape/flt_onn.shp	Faults and shoreline (onshore)
/shape /ltlg_str.shp	ESRI latlong grid
/shape/geo_onn.shp	Geologic polygon features (onshore)
/shape/linef.shp	Geologic line features
/shape/riv_str.shp	ESRI rivers and small lakes
/shape/shore_st.shp	ESRI shore line
/shape/wep_prvs.shp	USGS Geologic Provinces
