Interchange files are portable ASCII text files designed for transferring ArcInfo coverages.
Directly clicking on the link will open the interchange file as text. To save the file for importing into GIS software packages, right-click on one of the links above. A software utility (e.g. ArcToolbox) will be needed to convert Interchange files to ArcInfo coverages.
Start by right-clicking to select "Save Target As..." on the file of choice, in the table above.
Note where the file is being saved. Be sure there is a .e00 file extention, although Windows may see the file as a text document.
