Multibeam Data and Socio-Economic Issues in West-Central San Francisco Bay

Acknowledgments

Colleagues at the USGS made the following contributions. James Gardner processed the multibeam data into a 4-meter grid of tide-corrected bathymetry and a 2-meter grid of backscatter using a software package developed by the University of New Brunswick. Pat Chavez and Miguel Velasco provided data for the shipping lanes. Peter Dartnell supplied the smoothed digital elevation model (DEM) of the land features. An earlier version of this report was presented at the 1997 Fall Meeting of the American Geophysical Union (Chin and others, 1997).
