Most movies are originally made in MPEG or FLC format. However, some of the mpegs won't play on some mpeg viewers, not quite sure why. QuickTime 3.0 can apparently handle the FLC format, and my SGI workstation has a utility for converting MPEG to QuickTime, so if you have QuickTime 3.0, you should be set.
