Figure 2. Time series of wind stress magnitude, bottom stress caused by wind waves, and beam attenuation, a measure of turbidity at the South Lake site ("D" in Figure 1) during the 1995 deployment. Nearly all the turbidity events are associated with wave events, which in turn are associated with wind events. There is very little lag between winds, waves and turbidity.
