Action Buttons :

UnZoom : Display the map in the full extent view.
ZoomIn : Zoom in the map.
ZoomOut : Zoom out the map.
Pan : Pan the map.
Identify : Identify the attribute information on the current focused layer. The identified attribute information is shown in the status window. The focused layer can be changed through the legend window by clicking the interested layer you want.
Select : Select the spatial features of the current focused layer. The identified attribute information is shown in the status window. The focused layer can be changed through the legend window by clicking the interested layer you want.
Clear : Clear the selected features, labels and the status window buffer.
Execute : Execute the online command entered in the command window.
Query : Query the attribute information on the current focused layer with the query criterion entered in the command window. The focused layer can be changed through the legend window by clicking the interested layer you want. JShape uses the partial string match method to search the attribute information.

       For Example :

           There are three attribute records :

               Park

               Arc

               nomatch

            If the query criterion is ar, only Park and Arc will be matched.
```

Dynamic Layer Load Button :

The Dynamic Layer Load Buuton allows users to dynamically load the interested (based on the current zoom-in area) GIS data/map into JShape. The proper steps to use the Dynamic Layer Load Button are :

Using the ZoomIn action button to zoom-in to the interested area.
Press the Dynamic Layer Load Button to dynamically load the interested data/map.

Warning: Press the Dynamic Layer Load Button to dynamically load a large area (or full extent) of data/map may take very long time.

Online Commands :

Help : Help command.
Count : Report the number of features on the current focused layer.
Extent : Report the full map extent information.
CurrentExtent : Report the current map extent information.
Export : Export the label information of the selected (resulted from Query or Select functions) of the current focused layer.

FColor= : Change the foreground color of the features on the current focused layer.



       For Examples :

         fcolor=red

         fcolor=FF00FF



       *Note* In JShape, user can specify colors in two different ways :

       (1) Pre-defined color : black, blue, cyan, darkGray, gray,

           green, lightGray, magenta, orange, pink, red, white, yellow,

           brown, violet, gold and transparent (only for the background

           color of polygon features).

       (2) RGB valued color : RRGGBB value is in the hex-decimal format.

BColor= : Change the background color of the features on the current focused layer.



       For Examples :

         bcolor=red

         bcolor=FF00FF

Size= : Change the symbol size of the features on the current focused layer.

         size=5

SColor= : Change the selection color of the features on the current focused layer.



       For Examples :

         scolor=red

         scolor=FF00FF



       *Note* In JShape, it allows multiple selection colors co-existing on

       the same focused layer. With the different selection colors and the

       different query criteria, WWW end users can achieve the thematic map

       effects.

       

       For Example : On a road layer, users can do the following things:

         (1) [Execute] scolor=red

         (2) [Query] highway 101

             The selected "highway 101" features are displayed in red.

         (3) [Execute] scolor=brown

         (4) [Query] highway 5

             The selected "highway 5" features are displayed in brown, and

             the selected "highway 101" features are still displayed in red.

LColor= : Change the label text color on the current focused layer.

Label=[ON|OFF] : Set the label information ON or OFF on the current focused layer.



       For examples :

         label=ON

         label=OFF

Label : Set the label information ON on the current focused layer.
LField= : Set the label attribute field number of the current focused layer.

MBcolor= : Change the background color on the map window.
