Open-File Report 00-502 contains digital data files and descriptions of
airborne time-domain electromagnetic (TEM) data collected in New Mexico
during 1997.  The digital files include map and cross section images, 
Arc/Info* and Arc/View* compatible files (TIF).

To begin, open the file USGS-OFR.PDF using Adobe Acrobat 4.0 Reader*
to read the U.S. Geological Survey report, which describes the primary
purpose of the TEM survey and presents preliminary results of the
airborne TEM survey.  Next, open the file C-REPORT.PDF to read the
contractor's report, which describes the logistics and processing of
the airborne survey.

All compressed archive ZIP format files in Open-File Report 00-502 can
be extracted with the program WinZip*. The program may be obtained for
free at http://www.winzip.com.

All PDF format files in Open-File Report 00-502 can be read with the
program Adobe Acrobat 4.0 Reader*. The program may be obtained for free
at http://www.adobe.com. Open and read the reports mentioned above by
first starting the Adobe Acrobat 4.0 Reader* program and then opening
those report files.  Refer to the built-in help system in Reader for
assistance with opening files.
