Top Layer of Lead Bricks for Gamma-Ray Castle

Top Layer

This is the top layer of lead bricks that forms the castle and measures 28" square.  In order to allow passage of the cable from the photomultiplier tube to the PC, a one inch hole is drilled at a 45 degree angle downward to the left as indicated in both the side and end views shown above, so that the bottom of the hole through the brick is directly above the hole in the layer of lead bricks below this one.
