This is a subset of ground-water sites from the USGS, National Water Information System (NWIS) Ground-water Site Inventory (GWSI) database. Included are only wells with measured water levels (calculated to elevations) for the September 2000 Floridan aquifer system potentiometric surface map. The purpose of this dataset is to support the use of that surface for input into other applications. Only minimum information for each well is provided, including the location, site elevation, aquifer, and local (USGS) well number. The water-surface elevation has been included, which was calculated from the depth-below-land-surface measurements. All measurements were taken during the month of September 2000 on various dates. These are all the measurments used for the interpretation of the contours and the surface geo-datasets. Aquifers included in this dataset are Floridan, Upper Floridan, and Upper Three Runs. Some measurements collected from these aquifers during September 2000 werer subsequently eliminated from use in producing the surface map due to anomalous or suspect data.
