Data Modifications The following is a description of changes made to the Alabama digital geologic source coverage. There were a few polygons that had to be reattributed because of mistagged polygons. They have a source code of AL202. Onsvr changed to Onvsr htgt changed to hfgt Cr changed to cr (two polygons) TI changed to Tl (upper case i to lower case L) Mpm changed to Mb (one polygon) MIm changed to Mpm (one polygon) Mtfp changed to Mf (one polygon) Mtfp changed to Mpm (one polygon) Oc changed to Srm (one polygon) Srm changed to Dcfm (one polygon) Dcfm changed to Mtfp (one polygon) Oc changed to PMpwf (one polygon) Mtfp changed to PMpwf (one polygon) Srm changed to Mtfp (one polygon) Mt changed to Mf (two polygons) Split the following polgyons: Mb(two polygons), Mt and OCAccr Some arcs were in the wrong direction for our fault coding, so numerous arcs were "flipped" from the source direction in order to have line decoration (thrust teeth, u/d symbol, etc) on the correct side of the line. These arcs are coded with the source information as AL102 to indicate a direction change from the source (AL001). Other arcs were split based on the paper source in order to code such line attributes as concealed faults, contacts, borders and so forth. A few arcs were added so polygons could be split when they crossed province boundaries. These arcs are coded with source as AL102.
