Open-File Report 2006-1180

Digital single-channel seismic-reflection data from western Santa Monica Basin

 Data Processing

Data Recovery

NSRF and SE100 data were parsed from archive tape using start/end times noted in cruise report (see appendix). New FFID header words were assigned to traces. Headers for day, hour, minute, second were preserved in standard SEG-Y header locations. SEG-Y file names designate streamer type and line number.
Sample rates:
lines: 1-13, 22-41, 54-58 - 300 microseconds
lines: 14-21, 42-53 - 150 microseconds

Data Display

resample - NSRF and SE100 data were desampled to a 1 millisecond sample rate.

highpass filter
NSRF: lowcut ramp (100% cut below 60 Hz, 100% passed above 100 Hz)
SE100: lowcut ramp (100% cut below 30 Hz, 100% passed above 45 Hz)

Image Files

A 100 millisecond AGC window was applied. Profiles are variable-density blue/red (blue=positive, red=negative). Vertical scale is in milliseconds two-way travel time, horizontal scale bar is provided at bottom of each section. Shotpoints and line crossings are annotated along the horizontal axis.
