During November 2009, bottom photographs and surficial sediment data were acquired as part of a ground-truth reconnaissance survey. Bottom features were interpreted based on tonal changes in the sidescan-sonar imagery, the bathymetry, bottom photography, and textural analyses. The individually interpreted features (boulders, sand waves, and wreck) were outlined using the available graphic tools then converted to an ESRI shapefile using ArcView 3.3.
