Afghanistan Index Map Identifying Locations of 1:250,000-Scale Quadrangle Maps

By selecting a colored area on the index map, the user will be taken to the published 1:250,000-scale geologic map of that quadrangle released by the USGS and AGS (Afghan Geological Survey). The geologic map is the first in a series of maps published for Afghanistan. Subsequent chapters present topographic, Landsat natural-color, and Landsat false-color themes for the same areas. The maps for any given quadrangle have the same open-file report (OFR) number but a different letter suffix, namely, -A, -B, -C, and -D for the geologic, topographic, Landsat natural-color, and Landsat false-color maps, respectively. The OFR numbers range in sequence from 2005-1092 to 2005-1123. When viewing the geologic map the user will have access to the -B, -C, and -D series maps.
