SIM-2900_readme.txt - this file

SIM-2900_metadata - FGDC compliant metadata in HTML format. 
Each Geodatabase Feature Class also has its own metadata.

SIM-2900.zip - Zipped package of files necessary to create 
an ArcMap Personal Geodatabase project.  

    Includes:

mdb.zip - Personal Geodatabase (psglg.mdb)

    Feature dataset:
        geology: Contains the feature classes 'psglg_line' 
        and 'psglg_polygon' which collectively define the 
        geologic units. Also contains the topological 
        properties as defined in 'geology_Topology.'

    Feature classes:
        psglg_line: geologic contacts and faults
        psglg_polygon: geologic unit polygons
        psatd_point: structural features represented by a 
             point 
        psdke_line: diabase intrusive rocks
        psfld_line: fold axes
        psglg_point: fault displacement symbols 
        pskar_point: karst features
        psupf_point: river miles
        psvln_line: volcanic flow direction
        psvnt_point: volcanic vents and cones

Other files:
        PeachSprings.style: ArcMap style for symbolizing 
             data
        DRG.zip: 1:100,000-scale DRG base, stripped of 
             color and zipped

Three map document annotation groups -- FaultAnnotation, 
FaultDisplacementMeters, and FoldAnnotation -- are 
associated with the layers psglg_line, psglg_line, and 
psfld_line respectively.  Dynamic label features are 
utilized to display degree of dip and map unit name on the 
layers psatd_point and psglg_polygon respectively.
