Version History for SIM 2983 By Stephen F. Personius, Anthony J. Crone, Michael N. Machette, David J. Lidke, Lee-Ann Bradley, and Shannon A. Mahan Logs and Scarp Data from a Paleoseismic Investigation of the Surprise Valley Fault Zone, Modoc County, California ----------------------------------------------------- Version 1.0: Posted On-line December, 2007 ----------------------------------------------------- Version 1.1: Posted On-line August, 2008 Sheet 1 was modified by the addition of a new colophon that contains additional contact information for the Geologic Hazards team, and a note regarding the modification date of July 7, 2008. Sheet 2 had more extensive modifications. The explanation box originally titled "Trench explanation" has been replaced with "Trench and drill hole explanation". A formation unit box "cw4?" was added, and formation unit box 8 was changed from "pre-E3" to "oldest (EX)" faulting event. An additional symbol was added to the explanation: "Possible buried soil (drill hole only)". In the upper left-hand-corner of the main figure on sheet 2, there is an inserted figure called "2006 drill hole log and sample textures". This insert contains a trench correlation stratigraphic column, and a graph of log and texture data. The stratigraphic column has been replaced; the units within it have been given a more detailed breakdown. The graph has had modifications to the graphed data that occurs right below the 50 foot depth mark. The graph caption was modified as well. "2006" in the first sentence was changed to "15-cm-diameter", and an additional sentence was added to the end of the caption that reads " Unit cw4? in drill hole is inferred fault-scarp colluvium from possible E4? faulting event". The explanation box within the graph has been modified to include a line "Possible buried soil" and symbol, the same one that was updated in the main figure explanation. An updated colophon was added to this sheet as well, with the Version 1.1, and the revision date of July, 7, 2008. -----------------------------------------------------
