Scientific Investigations Map 3022

This text contains directory file listings of digital data for the report "Metalogenic belt and mineral 
deposit maps of northeast Asia" (SIM 3022) compiled by Alexander A. Obolenskiy, Sergey M. Rodionov, 
Gunchin Dejidmaa, Ochir Gerel, Duk Hwan Hwang, Robert J. Miller, Warren J. Nokleberg, Masatsugu Ogasawara, 
Alexander P. Smelov,  Hongquan Yan, and Zhan V. Seminskiy.

The data presented on the four map sheets include several GIS datafiles that collectively present the content 
of the metallogenic and deposit location maps, along with supporting files and metadata.

These digital data for maps and brief descriptions of geologic units, mineral deposits, and metallogenic 
belts are a companion to the report "Metallogenesis and Tectonics of Northeast Asia" edited by Warren J. Nokleberg, 
and published as U.S. Geological Survey Professional Paper 1765. The purpose of the digital maps and brief 
descriptions in this report is to provide large-format color maps, mainly in Acrobat PDF format, as compared 
to the page-size figures in Professional Paper 1765. Relative to the brief descriptions in this report, 
comprehensive descriptions of geologic units, mineral deposits, and metallogenic belts are provided in a series 
of reports that are referenced in the Pamphlet.pdf file.
