Figure 10. Relation between pesticide organic carbon-water partitioning coefficient (Koc) value and pesticide loss, Yakima River Basin, Washington, 2000. Hypothetical pesticide losses were calculated for sites where a pesticide was reported to have been used, but where concentrations were below the detection level. A concentration of 0.0001 microgram per liter was used to calculate the hypothetical losses. Line shows the ordinary least-squares regression fit through losses of detected pesticides.
