Channel Change and Bed-Material Transport in the Lower Chetco River, Oregon

Table 4. Sediment sampling locations used in the sediment transport study, Chetco River, Oregon.

[Samples collected September 15–19, 2008, using methods of Wolman (1954). Unless otherwise noted, samples were collected at bar apices. Location names are informal descriptions of bars based on local landmarks. Eastings and northings are in meters and refer to the UTM zone 10 projection using the North American Datum of 1983. Grain-size diameter: d16, grain-size diameter in millimeters, where 16 percent of the sample is finer by volume; d50, grain size diameter in millimeters, where 50 percent of the sample is finer by volume; d84, grain size diameter in millimeters, where 84 percent of the sample is finer by volume]
