U.S. Geological Survey, Techniques of Water-Resources Investigations, Book 3, Chapter A16

By Frederick A. Kilpatrick and Ernest D. Cobb

This report is available as a pdf below

Preface

The series of manuals on techniques describes procedures for planning and executing specialized work in water-resources investigations. The material is grouped under major subject headings called "Books" and further subdivided into sections and chapters; Section A of Book 3 is on surface-water techniques.

Provisional drafts of chapters are distributed to field offices of the U.S. Geological Survey for their use. These drafts are subjected to revision because of experience in use or because of advancement in knowledge, techniques, or equipment. After the technique described in a chapter is sufficiently developed, the chapter is published and sold by the Eastern Distribution Branch, Text Products Section, U.S. Geological Survey, 604 South Pickett Street, Alexandria, VA 22304 (authorized agent of Superintendent of Documents, Government Printing Office).

Reference to trade names, commercial products, manufacturers, or distributors in this manual is for identification purposes only and does not constitute an endorsement or a recommendation for use by the U.S. Geological Survey.
