Graphical Comparison of Reserve-Growth Models for Conventional Oil and Gas Accumulations

By T.R. Klett

Version 1.0

Past and currently proposed reserve-growth models are compared to aid in the selection of a suitable algorithm for use in the ongoing National Oil and Gas Assessment Project. The reserve-growth models use past annual volumetric changes of fields and reservoirs that have been grouped by age.

Digital tabular data used in this report are available as separate files. Computers and software may use the data without transcription from the Portable Document Format (.pdf) of the text. Because of the number and variety of platforms and software available, the data are provided in a raw form as tab-delimited text files (.tab files), usable by most spreadsheet and database programs. The file names correspond to each of the 16 tables-for example, table1.tab.
