The photos are from dusty files of the Earthquake Research 
Institute, University of Tokyo.  The photographer's name, 
as I recall is M. Kondo.  In Onagawa, the place in the 
photos, we inquired about this name in 1999, while 
interviewing officials well-suited to recall the name.  
They inferred that Kondo was a visitor.
