Base maps

The index maps and 1:100,000-scale poster use satellite imagery with shaded relief (Sleeter et al., 2004) for its base map. The 1:12,000-scale page-size plots use 0.3-m (1-ft) orthoimagery for the San Francisco-Oakland area for 2004 (USGS National Map).
