Field Activity Logs

Field Activity Collection System (FACS) Logs

FACS logs are standardized forms used by the USGS Coastal and Marine Geology Program. For more information see http://walrus.wr.usgs.gov/infobank/programs/html/main/facs.html. Click on the links below to access PDF files containing the FACS crew, equipment, and overview logs. These FACS logs, which can also be found in the FACS folder, were generated post-cruise using the handwritten logbooks and personal accounts of the crew members.

Figure 1 displays acquisition geometry.

Table 1 is a summary of acquisition parameters.

Handwritten Logbooks

Click on the links below to access PDF files containing scanned images of the handwritten observers' logbooks and acquisition geometry diagrams. These files can also be found in the LOGBOOKS folder. The operations logbooks were completed in the field by Dana Wiese, and accompanying acquisition geometry diagrams were completed post-cruise by Dana Wiese. The science logbooks were completed in the field by Ann Tihansky.
