ArcGIS Project Read-Me The map documents and shapefiles used to create the trackline maps provided on this disc can be found in the arc.zip file located in the ARC subfolder of the SOFTWARE folder located at the top level of the disc. The map documents were created with Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) ArcGIS 9.0 software. Shapefiles may also be viewed with other versions of ArcView, ArcGIS, or public domain software ArcExplorer (http://www.esri.com/software/arcexplorer/index.html). The Points to Lines ArcScript, downloadable at http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=12702, was used to create the trackline layers. The map documents are named all, area_a, area_b, area_c, area_d, and area_e. These maps show 95LCA03 and 96LCA02 trackline navigation. Inset maps also show start of lines, 500-shot-interval locations along each line, and the location of navigation errors. The list below describes the shapefiles provided with the ArcGIS project. Metadata are available as HTML documents (viewable with any web browser) and XML documents (used by ArcCatalog). 28586239.tif: Landsat orthoimagery mosaic of study area 95_500shots: point layer of 95LCA03 boomer 500-shot-interval locations 96_500shots: point layer of 96LCA02 boomer 500-shot-interval locations 95_startoflines: point layer of the start of 95LCA03 boomer tracklines 96_startoflines: point layer of the start of 96LCA02 boomer tracklines 95_tracklines: line layer of 95LCA03 boomer trackline navigation 96_tracklines: line layer of 96LCA02 boomer trackline navigation citypoint: point layer of cities and towns located in the Southwest Florida Water Management District roads: line layer of roads located in the Southwest Florida Water Management District statecounties: polygon layer of Florida counties
