ArcGIS Project Read-Me The map documents and shapefiles used to create the trackline maps provided on this disc can be found in the arc.zip file located in the ARC subfolder of the SOFTWARE folder located at the top level of the disc. The map documents were created with Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) ArcGIS 9.1 software. Shapefiles may also be viewed with other versions of ArcView, ArcGIS, or public domain software ArcExplorer (http://www.esri.com/software/arcexplorer/index.html). The Points to Lines ArcScript, downloadable at http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=12702, was used to create the trackline layer. The map documents (.mxd) are named 06fsh01_location and 06fsh01_survey. Both maps display 06FSH01 trackline navigation. Inset map (Survey Area Map) also shows the start of lines and 1,000-shot-interval locations along each line. The list below describes the shapefiles provided with the ArcGIS project. Metadata are available as HTML documents (viewable with any Web browser) and XML documents (used by ArcCatalog). florida_coastline: Polygon layer of the Florida shoreline derived from 1:100,000 vector coastline map of the USA 06fsh01_trkln: line layer of 06FSH01 chirp trackline navigation 06c01_trkln: line layer of reconstructed line 06c01 chirp trackline navigation 06fsh01_shots_1000: point layer of 06FSH01 chirp 1,000-shot-interval locations 06c01_shots: point layer of reconstructed line 06c01 chirp 1,000-shot-interval locations 06fsh01_sol: point layer of the start of 06FSH01 tracklines 06c01_sol: point layer of the start of reconstructed line 06c01 trackline
