ArcGIS Project Read-Me The map documents and shapefiles used to create the trackline maps provided on this disc can be found in the arc.zip file located in the ARC subfolder of the SOFTWARE folder located at the top level of the disc. The map documents were created with Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) ArcGIS 9.1 software. Shapefiles may also be viewed with other versions of ArcView, ArcGIS, or public domain software ArcExplorer (http://www.esri.com/software/arcexplorer/index.html). The Points to Lines ArcScript, downloadable at http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=12702, was used to create the trackline layer. The map documents (.mxd) are named 06fsh03_location, 06fsh03_location_chirp, 06fsh03_survey, and 06fsh03_survey_chirp. All maps display 06FSH03 trackline navigation. Inset maps (Survey Area Maps) also show the start of lines, 500-shot-interval, and 1,000-shot-interval locations along each line. The list below describes the shapefiles provided with the ArcGIS project. Metadata are available as HTML documents (viewable with any Web browser) and XML documents (used by ArcCatalog). florida_coastline: Polygon layer of the Florida shoreline derived from 1:100,000 vector coastline map of the USA 06FSH03_tracklines: line layer of 06FSH03 boomer trackline navigation 06FSH03_tracklines_CHIRP: line layer of 06FSH03 CHIRP trackline navigation 06FSH03_shots: point layer of 06FSH03 boomer 500-shot-interval locations 06FSH03_shots_CHIRP: point layer of 06FSH03 CHIRP 1,000-shot-interval locations 06FSH03_sol: point layer of the start of 06FSH03 boomer tracklines 06FSH03_sol_CHIRP: point layer of the start of 06FSH03 CHIRP tracklines
