ArcGIS Project Readme The map documents and shapefiles used to create the trackline maps provided on this disc can be found in the arc.zip file located in the ARC subfolder of the SOFTWARE folder located at the top level of the disc. The map documents were created with ESRI ArcGIS 9.3 software. Shapefiles may also be viewed with other versions of ArcGIS, ArcView, or public domain software ArcExplorer (http://www.esri.com/software/arcexplorer/index.html). The Points to Lines ArcScript, downloadable at http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=12702, was used to create the trackline layer. The map documents (.mxd) are named 09cct01_location, 09cct01_area1, and 09cct01_area2. All maps display 09CCT01 trackline navigation. The inset maps (shown on the location map as Area 1 and Area 2) also show the start of lines (green dots) and 1,000-shot-interval locations (black dots) along each line. The list below describes the shapefiles provided with the ArcGIS project. Metadata are available as HTML documents (viewable with any Web browser) and XML documents (used by ArcCatalog). 09cct01_shots_nad83: Point layer of 09CCT01 Chirp 1,000-shot-interval locations 09cct01_sol_nad83: Point layer of the start of 09CCT01 Chirp tracklines 09cct01_trkln_nad83: Line layer of 09CCT01 Chirp trackline navigation cities: Point layer of major U.S. cities derived from 1:100,000 ESRI vector digital data gulf_states_shoreline.dbf Polygon layer of the Gulf states shoreline derived from USGS 2007 Experimental Advanced Airborne Research Lidar (EAARL) survey bare earth Digital Elevation Maps (DEMs) interstates: Line layer of U.S. interstate highways and major roads derived from 1:5,000,000 ESRI vector digital data roads: Line layer of major U.S. roads derived from 1:2,000,000 Digital Line Graph (DLG) data produced by the USGS
