KmlWrite Read-Me To use the scripts provided here you must first open the KmlWrite.zip file. The script requires that your navigation file be CSV file format. The photos, thumbnails, and contact sheets should be within the same folder that the KML will be in. Provided below is a step-by-step explanation of the processing sequence. Step 1. Open CreateKML.jar and fill in the open fields: * Input File: this is the navigation file that will be used * Output File: name for the KML file that is being created * Filename: name it will be called within Google Earth * Select Archive Format * Click Process Step 2. Open the KML just created in a text editing program such as TextEdit or Notepad to make any changes. * Some of the text does tend to get mixed up so run Find and Replaces to correct any issues. Step 3. Open the KML in Google Earth to customize. * Add other KML files by dragging them into the KML folder (listed in the My Places panel on the left). * Change the color of the thumbnails/labels - right click on the KML file (listed in the My Places panel on the left within your KML folder), click on Get Info -> Style, Color -> click on the Share Style button -> click on the icon to the right of the title -> and make your changes. Step 4. Right click on the KML folder, click Save Place As, and you can save it as either a KML or a KMZ (a zipped version of a KML)
