ArcGIS Project Read-Me for Data Series 675

The map documents and shapefiles used to create the maps provided on this disc can be found in the arc subfolder of the software folder located at the top level of the disc.  The map documents were created with Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) ArcGIS version 9.3.1.  Shapefiles may also be viewed with other versions of ArcView, ArcGIS, or the free ArcExplorer (http://www.esri.com/software/arcexplorer/index.html).

The file listing for the ArcGIS project 2008_2009_dataseries, is divided into three group layers; GeoTIFFs, Tracklines, and Shoreline.  Metadata are available as PDFs, HTML documents (viewable with any Web browser), and XML documents (used by ArcCatalog).

Group Layer GeoTIFF file names are the following:

The list below describes the contents of the Data Products folder located within the html folder.  This folder is further divided into the following subfolders. 

	Subfolder = GeoTIFF
		File = rm08_09_50gv2.tif is a GeoTIFF of the 50-m resolution combination bathymetry grid of single-beam, swath, and topographic shoreline.
		
	Subfolder = Grid_as_raster2ascii
		File = rm08_09_50gv2_raster2ascii.txt is the 50-m combination bathymetry grid rm08_09_50gv2.tif in ascii format.
				
	Subfolder = Grid_as_raster2point
		File = rm08_09_50gv2_raster2point.shp is the shapefile of the 50-m combination bathymetry grid rm08_09_50gv2.tif in point format.
		
	Subfolder = Trackline
		File = 08_09_tracklines.shp
	
	File - rm08_09_50gv2_xyz.txt is a text file containing x,y,z.  It is file rm08_09_50gv2_raster2point.shp exported as text.
