A sentence at the beginning of the “Background” section was rewritten to indicate more precisely the elements linked to 
civil unrest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Proper nouns, including corporate names, the administrative divisions of countries, and titles of specific industrial regions, 
were capitalized in the “Background” section and table 1 to correctly reflect style decisions outlined in the 
Government Printing Office Style Manual, 8th edition (GPO). Similarly, punctuations were inserted to reflect the expression 
of company names as defined in the GPO for both table 1 and the “References Cited” section. 

An erroneous in-text citation for the “Government Printing Office, 2010” from a previous draft of the manuscript was removed 
from the “Background” section and was replaced with an in-text citation for the “U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, 2014.”

Data were removed from the “Information Contacts” to provide the most correct contact information, including more complete 
author names and consistency of information provided across all contacts.
