On page 1, figure 1, the map of California has been updated from the May 2018 version to the June 2019 version. The wording in the caption, first sentence, has been updated to reflect this change. In the explanation, the description for the gray map pattern has been changed from “Other lidar data” to “Non-3DEP lidar data,” and the symbol and description for “Large lake” have been deleted. 2. On page 1, the heading for the text box has been changed from “3DEP in California by the Numbers” to “3DEP by the Numbers: California.” 3. On page 2, in the text box, the first paragraph formerly read as follows: “The 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) is managed by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) to acquire light detection and ranging (lidar) data to generate a new, highly accurate terrain base map for the Nation. This is a high-priority cooperative program with the goal to acquire complete national coverage of quality level 2 or better lidar data (table 1) by the end of 2023.” This paragraph has been updated to the following: “The 3D Elevation Program is managed by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) on behalf of Federal, State, local, and other partners and users of elevation data. The goal of 3DEP is to complete the acquisition of light detection and ranging (lidar) data (interferometric synthetic aperture radar (IfSAR) data in Alaska) in 8 years to provide the first-ever national baseline of consistent, high-resolution elevation data.” 4.
