The GIS layers are in the form of ESRI coverages and personal geodatabases, with copies also provided in Arc export (.e00) format. The file name abbreviations are:

stm_bedrock = bedrock units, polygons
stm_faults = faults, lines
stm_geochem = datapoints for major oxide analysis samples
stm_mags = basement magnetism anomalies as linear and polygon features 
stm_mis = miscellaneous observations including springs, karst features, brecciated areas, drill hole locations, etc.
stm_strux = structural measurement points, includes bedding, joints, foliation.
stm_surf = surficial geologic units, polygons

ESRI coverages are in the coverages subdirectory
ESRI export format files are in the export subdirectory
Georeferenced images of the base map separates (hypsography, hydrography, road & culture) are in the drgs sudrectory 




Metadata files for all of the layers are in the compressed metadata subdirectory, metadata.zip.
