Chemical Composition of Ferromanganese Crusts in the World Ocean: A Review and Comprehensive Database

The data files in each ZIP file represent the information presented in appendixes A, B, and C.

The digital data were originally uploaded to the National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration(http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/docucomp/pagexml=NOAA/NESDIS/NGDC/MGG/Geology/iso/xml/G01019.xml&view=getDataView&header=none) 
in 1991. The files were reformatted in 2014 to make them easier to input into geographic information system (GIS) software and 
converted to shapefiles. Discrepancies were noted between the original tabulated data and the digital data, including missing 
data entries and mistakes between values in the original report and what the data posted by the NGDC.
