Raines, Gary L., Johnson, B. R., Frost, Thomas P. and Zientek, Michael L., 1996, Digital maps of compositionally classified lithologies derived from 1:500,000-scale geologic maps for the Pacific Northwest: a contribution to the Interior Columbia Basin Ecosystem Management Project: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 95-685, 29 p. This report describes the contents of a digital data set (approximately 269 MB) which consists of Arc/Info Export format files and associated macro programs. Page-sized, color versions of the digital maps are included in the report. The data set also includes macro programs and complete plot files for creating paper copies of the maps at a scale of 1:2,000,000. The data set is available on the World Wide Web at http://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1995/of95-685/. Requirements: A networked computer system is required to copy the data set from the host computer across the Internet. A geographic information system (GIS) capable of importing Arc/Info Export format files is required for access to the digital files. All plot files are stored in HPGL2 format. The digital data set files are in UNIX ASCII format.
