Derkey, P. D. and Johnson, B. R, 1995, Digital maps of low- to moderate- temperature geothermal springs and wells in the Pacific Northwest: a contribution to the Interior Columbia Basin Ecosystem Management Project: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 95-689, 11 p. plus 3 plates. This report describes the contents of a digital dataset (approximately 7 MB) which consists of ARC/INFO Export format files and associated macro programs. The dataset includes a map of low- to moderate-temperature geothermal springs and a map of low- to moderate-temperature wells in the northwestern U.S. north of 39 degrees N latitude and west of approximately 108 degrees W longitude compiled from digital datasets for the states of California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. The dataset also includes macro programs and complete plot files for creating paper copies of the map. A page-sized, color version of the map is included in this report as well as a description of how to obtain the dataset over the Internet. Requirements: A networked computer system is required to copy the dataset from the host computer across the Internet. A Geographic Information System capable of importing ARC/INFO Export format files is required for access to the digital files. All plot files are stored in HPGL2 format. The digital dataset files are in UNIX ASCII format.
